This is going to be a tough one I'm sure, if anyone has a clue on this, I would appreciate it. This is going to be a problem, because my client is going to do a Restart at some point and it's not going to power back on as normal. To reiterate the main issue now: Restart does not work, Shutdown works fine. When it's powered on again, it says it shutdown abruptly and has recovered from an error. BUT.Apple > Restart does not work - it just shuts down and that's it. The battery health status on these devices will also indicate 'Service Recommended.' If the status indicates that your battery is Normal, your battery is not affected by this issue.

This IC is identified as CD3215A, U3100, U3200 in schematic diagrams and board view software. A very small number of customers with 20 MacBook Pro computers have experienced an issue with the battery not charging past 1. Decided to just go with the cloned drive and not do a fresh OS install. Replacement USB-C Port Controller IC on the Apple MacBook 12 A1534 (2015, 2016, 2017), MacBook Pro 13 A1706, A1708, A1989 (2018, 2019) & MacBook Pro 15 A1707 & A1990, Mac mini A1993. (Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2020) MacBook Pro 13-in. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screens are 14.2 inches and 16.2 inches diagonally (actual viewable area is less). Replaced the adapter with a different brand for the **** of it. The displays on the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro have rounded corners at the top. You’ll see a screen pop up that looks like this. Don’t worry that it’s named Xbox 360 Controllersit does support Xbox One controllers, too. There should now be a small Xbox 360 Controllers icon at the bottom of the window.
PS3 CONTROLLER ON MAC 2017 MACBOOK PRO INSTALL
Eventually after 8 attempts, was able to install the 10.14.6 security updates. Now, open the Apple menu and click the System Preferences command. During each attempt to install 10.14.6 updates, machine would not see the drive, unless I reset the SMC, then booted holding Option key, then it saw the drive, and I could boot to it. Was able to clone her original drive successfully however. Could not do an OS install from scratch, kept failing. Replaced this ridiculous & proprietary drive with an adapter and a Sabrent 1TB M.2 2240 Drive. Have a client who bought a 2017 Macbook Pro with a 128GB drive. Ive just had the speaker blow on my laptop, which will be the second brand new macbook pro in 8 weeks Ive had the problem with.
